Metropolitan Museum of Art gets African sculpture

The Met has finally purchased its first major piece of contemporary African art. The sculpture is called "Between Earth and Heaven" and was created by Ghanaian artist El Anatsui in 2006. The Met declined to say how much they paid for it.
